Information Collection and Your Privacy

  • Your contact information is collected by the owner (ReputationBeast user) on an opt-in basis and can be collected in two ways:
  • ReputationBeast user collects your name, mobile number, email address, and password when you subscribe to the user’s Online Sign-up page.

ReputationBeast user can also collect your mobile number when you text the ReputationBeast user’s Mobile.

ReputationBeast does not expose your direct contact information to ReputationBeast users (the owner of the Online Sign-up page or Mobile Keyword) unless we have explicit or implied consent from you.

An implied consent is when you (the “subscriber”) text the ReputationBeast user’s Mobile phone number. In this case, your mobile phone number will be shared with the owner of the Mobile Keyword. If you would like to change this implied permission to share, text “OUT” to the ReputationBeast phone number that you subscribed to.

ReputationBeast may use or disclose information about you, including your personal information, under the following circumstances:

  • To Provide you with products and services you request.
  • To anticipate and resolve problems and conflicts with our products and services.
  • For verification and authentication purposes in regards to requests or changes of any personal information or data related.
  • For other purposes communicated to you at the time you provide or authorize the use of your information.
  • To enforce our Terms of Use or other legal agreements.
  • To outsource any of the tasks referenced in this Privacy Policy, such as customer service.
  • In response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
  • To establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
To a company controlled by, or under common control with, ReputationBeast for any purpose permitted by this privacy policy.
  • When ReputationBeast believes such use or disclosure is (a) necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected illegal activities, fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or (b) required by law.
  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, consolidation, divestiture, or bankruptcy of ReputationBeast.

This privacy policy was written by ReputationBeast. ReputationBeast offers services enabling its users send messages via multiple modes of communications – mobile text and email. You have received a message from a user of ReputationBeast much like you receive messages from someone who uses Gmail, Yahoo, MSN or AIM. ReputationBeast is dedicated to protecting personal information and will make every reasonable effort to handle collected information appropriately. All information collected, as well as related requests, will be handled as carefully, securely and efficiently as possible. If you believe you have received unwanted, unsolicited message from a user via ReputationBeast system, please forward a copy of that email with your comments to info@ReputationBeast.com. ReputationBeast will take an appropriate action.

There are 3 ways that your contact information is captured into ReputationBeast system.

  • You entered your contact information on an opt-in sign-up page powered by ReputationBeast.
  • You sent a mobile keyword to a ReputationBeast phone number or a text message from your mobile phone.
  • A ReputationBeast user imported your contact information or added it manually into ReputationBeast system. ReputationBeast users are allowed to import email addresses that are collected only on an opt-in basis. Please report any abuse at info@ReputationBeast.com

ReputationBeast DOES NOT share your name or contact information (including email, and telephone number) with others except for the very owners of the online sign-up pages or the mobile keywords through which you volunteered your information. You have given them (“ReputationBeast users”) an explicit or implicit permission to send messages to your contact information when you signed up. If the ReputationBeast user added or imported your information without your permission, you can block the user from adding or importing it again.

Every message you receive via ReputationBeast offers ways to block or opt-out of the distribution list you are on. Please look for unsubscribe or block link at the bottom of the message you received. Unsubscribe removes your contact information from the distribution list that sent you the message. Block removes your contact information and additionally prevents the same list from adding you again. If you receive an unwanted message on your mobile phone, please send a text message “STOP” to the phone number you received the message from, which is ReputationBeast‘s phone number and follow instructions. STOP command on mobile phone deletes your phone number from your subscription, but it will not unsubscribe or block your email on the same distribution list. In order to unsubscribe completely, please follow unsubscribe link at the bottom of each message you receive. ReputationBeast takes all unsubscribe or block requests seriously.

An implied consent is when you (the “subscriber”) text a mobile keyword to ReputationBeast’s phone number. In this case, your mobile phone number will be accessible to the owner of the mobile keyword. If you would like to unsubscribe your phone number, text “STOP” to the same phone number and follow instructions. ReputationBeast takes all unsubscribe or block requests seriously.

To enforce our Terms of Use or other legal agreements.
  • To outsource any of the tasks referenced in this Privacy Policy, such as customer service.
  • In response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
  • To establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
  • To a company controlled by, or under common control with, ReputationBeast for any purpose permitted by this Privacy Policy.

When ReputationBeast believes such use or disclosure is (1) necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected illegal activities, fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or (2) required by law.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, consolidation, divestiture, or bankruptcy of ReputationBeast.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Whether explicit or implied, you are not allowed to share your subscribers’ contact info with any third party for any reason. Also, ReputationBeast may use or disclose information, including your personal info and your subscribers’ contact info, under the following very limited circumstances:

The recipient of your email or mobile text has been clearly and fully notified of the collection and use of his/her contact information and has consented prior to such collection and use. This is often called informed consent.

How Does ReputationBeast protects you from sending SPAM?

ReputationBeast is a permission-based email and mobile communication tool that follows the strictest permission-based philosophies:

  • Communication -Your ReputationBeast Online Sign-up page must state why you are collecting the person’s contact information, how you plan to use the contact information, and must follow ReputationBeast’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
  •  Verification – ReputationBeast automatically sends all of your new contacts an email or mobile text confirming their interest in receiving messages from you (Sending a text message will be deducted from the allowed text messages of your plan) .
  •  Unsubscribe – Every email sent from ReputationBeast contains an unsubscribe link which allows your contacts to opt-out of future emails and automatically updates your contact lists by removing the user. The same thing happens if a user replies to any mobile text via ReputationBeast with “STOP” command.
